Health and Fitness expert Cord Hosenbeck is a frequent television and radio host dedicated to physical and mental wellness. He has authored almost 30 books on subjects as diverse as diet and dressing for success. A long time member of the Canine Kennel Foundation, he is a world renowned registered breeder of basset hounds.
Moving back to the Los Angeles area in the late 80’s, Cord Hosenbeck parlayed his associations in the sports world and his MBA to launch a successful career as a personal trainer for such well known celebrities as Harrison Maxwell, DJ Badoons and Preston Langton, to name only a few.
His first book, “The Rice Cake Revolution” was an immediate best seller. More books followed: “The Total Yogurt Recipe Guide”, “The Citrus Method”, “Isometric Eating!” and “Cord Hosenbeck Workout Week!” All are best sellers and at 27 books, Cord shows no sign of slowing down.
A native of SoCal, Cord grew up in La Canada, Flintridge where he attended Flintridge Prep and was a California All-State Football Player. His college playing career started with a two year stint at Victor Mountain College where he still holds the record for most sacks in a game (19).
Completing his two years at Victor Mountain, he transferred to Palmdale State College where he switched to the offensive line. While at Palmdale State he also received his MBA. Undrafted at the next level, his dream to play professional football was finally realized with the new and exciting USFL where he played a full season with the New Jersey Generals!
A regular guest on all the popular morning shows both local and national, Cord is known to almost all Americans. His association with the Rose Parade extends all the way back to 1992 where, alongside his best friend, Tish Cattigan, he has hosted the Parade for a variety of different broadcast partners. This is his first year hosting for the Amazon Prime subscription-based service.
As a licensed and top breeder of champion basset hounds, Cord Hosenbeck is a longtime member of the Canine Kennel Foundation. A staunch defender of AKA recognized breeding practices, he has spoken out against illegal “puppy mills” and sub-par breeding standards.
His many books on basset hounds, including his children’s book, “Bailey the Best Basset in Boston” are beloved by aficionados of the breed. He is currently the national spokesperson for Loramix Savory Steak Biddles.
